Brandon Earlybird
SD Fusion started its 2011 season June 4th in the Earlybird tournament in Brandon, SD. After acquiring two wins, the rain got the best of the fields to cause the cancellation of the tournament.
St. Paul Rookies Qualifier
Taking to the road June 11-12, SD Fusion competed in the St. Paul Rookies qualifier at Concordia University. Outscoring their opponents 31-8, SD Fusion took an undefeated first place finish. Amanda Walters and Jennifer Bye combined for 30 strikeouts. Rachel Ormseth went 9 for 12 at the plate and Kylee Bosseler was 9 for 16.
South Dakota USSSA State Tournament
Continuing their strong play, SD Fusion competed in the South Dakota USSSA State tournament in Sioux Falls. After outscoring their opponents 19-1, SD Fusion took an undefeated state title. Jennifer Bye and Amanda Walters combined for 45 strike outs.
Jennifer Bye also hit a 21 run homerun and Jennifer Schall was 9 for 12 at the plate. |

Katie is a graduate of Washington High School and is attending Rapid City School of Mines. Carlee is a senior at Vermillion High School and will be attending South Dakota State University. |
