On March 19 - 22, Fusion Orange player Mattie Vanden Berge, who is also a member of the Sioux Falls Cygnets, attended the 2009 North Zone Championships synchronized swimming meet. This meet was held at Ohio State University McCorkle Aquatics Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio, and approximately 200 athletes from 15 states were expected to compete.
