Fusion Black Takes Ringneck Title

South Dakota Fusion Black was crowned champions of the 2010 ASA Ringneck International Invitational Softball Tournament 16u B bracket Sunday, July 4th at Sherman Park in Sioux Falls SD. Fusion went 4-0 in Sunday's single elimination bracket play to claim the title after a short stretch of bad luck in Saturday's pool play.

Sunday started with early morning wins over the Sioux Falls Diamonds Gold and the Ralston NE Riot. In game three, the Chippewa Falls WI Flash tied the game at 4-4 late, but the ladies in black pushed a run across late to get the 5-4 win and move to the championship game. Fusion Black left no doubt when they arrived late Sunday afternoon for the title tilt with the Manitoba Canada Thunder that they came to win, scoring 7 runs in the first inning and cruising to an 8-2 victory.

South Dakota Fusion Black will play for the ASA South Dakota State 16u state championship July 16th-18th in Sioux Falls before leaving for the USSSA A Nationals in Overland Park, Kansas July 19th-25th
