Fusion Black Takes Extravaganza

South Dakota Fusion Black went 5-0 on the weekend en route to capturing the ASA Bellevue Shocker Extravaganza May 21st thru 23rd in Bellevue Nebraska.

Fusion Black started Saturday morning with an 11-2 win over the Bellevue Shockers/Purple followed up by a 13-4 win over the Nebraska Storm/Black. Fusion ended the day late Saturday afternoon with a 1-0 win over the Bellevue Shockers/Black. The Saturday sweep gave Fusion Black the number one seed and a first round bye going into Sunday's single elimination bracket play.

The hits kept coming on Sunday as Fusion rolled to a 15-0 win over the Ralston Rage, earning Fusion a rematch in the championship game late Sunday afternoon against the host team Shockers/Black. The outcome was much different this time as Fusion Black put up four runs in the first three innings and then exploded for five more in the fourth to get the 9-3 win.
Fusion Black's defense was great all weekend, giving up only 9 runs while scoring 49 times on offense.

Fusion Black travels to Independence Missouri for the USSSA Buffalo Wild Wings Shootout June 5th and 6th before beginning a series of June and July tournaments in Sioux Falls.
