The 2009 SD Fusion Black Welcomes Lizzie Palmer and Kersten Bork

The Fusion Black team will be moving up to the 16U division this upcoming 2009 fastpitch season. Fusion Black is very excited to have ten returning players from our championship season, they include; Kiely Bren, Allison Daly, Hannah Duerksen, Ceci Heiberger, Taryn Hogarth, Laura Hurley, Maggie Loudenslager, Emily Nichols, Kayla Taylor and Chelsie Wallace.

In addition to the returning players Fusion Black would like to welcome two new players for this 2009 softball season.

Lizzie Palmer, a freshman at Lincoln High School, pitches and plays infield. Kersten Bork, also a freshman at Lincoln High School, is a second baseman and an all around utility player. Lizzie and Kersten both have strong batting averages and great speed. Both players come from the Sioux Falls Heat organization and will make a great addition to our team.

Fusion Black will begin practicing in early January, with a USSSA National Qualifier Tournament scheduled for early February in Omaha, NE. This indoor tournament should be a great “ice breaker” for our players. The coaching staff would like to welcome back all of our players and are excited to get back to business in 2009.
