Fusion Black Volunteers at Miracle Field

Fusion Black had a wonderful experience volunteering at the Miracle Field last week. The Miracle Field is a specially designed baseball field which allows children with wheelchairs and other disabilities the opportunity to play. There were enough special needs children to make up four teams. We were able to help at two games 6:00 and 7:30 pm. There were two bus loads of kids from Children's Care Hospital and School and the other two teams were made up of children from SD, MN and IA. Each of our players were placed with a miracle league player.

It was so awesome to see the joy in the kids faces. Not only did these children have the opportunity to play a team sport, but the parents also were able to see their children participate in a game which before the Miracle Field was built, was unimaginable. The kids were so thrilled when they hit the ball and made it to home plate.

Because the league has volunteers each night, the parents and family members can sit back and enjoy the game, which is something that special needs parents don't get a chance to do very often. Many of the parents thanked our girls for sharing their time and interacting with their children.

It was a great experience all around, a dream come true for many of the kids and their parents.
