Fusion 14U-Orange (formerly Sioux Falls X-Plosion) is a 14U competitive girls fastpitch softball team based out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Our goal is to provide positive teaching of skills, game knowledge, mental focus, and emotional control to help improve the quality and level of play for our players. Our girls had a great season last year, winning the SEFSA Memorial, League, and State tournaments at 12U, earning a berth to Northern Nationals in Minnesota and compiling a record of 34-20-2. We look forward to competing in South Dakota, Minnesota, and Nebraska this year against some great teams!

Our Fusion players understand that you should respect each other and respect your opponents, but not fear them. To be the best, you must compete against the best. Competition is about being better today than you were yesterday and every player competes against herself on a daily basis to achieve that goal ~ not just on the field, but in life.

Fusion players are team players and, as such:

• Understand from the beginning that hard work is the minimum expected of them, and not the maximum.
• Understand there are few guarantees in life, but two are:
  1. Success will not be easily achieved.
  2. Players who are unwilling to give a total effort in practices are unlikely to give a greater effort once the games begin.
• Understand the need to take constructive criticism and acknowledge their mistakes without alibis, excuses, or blaming others.
• Love the game ~ period.
• Work hard.
• Enjoy competing and winning.
• Like and, more importantly, respect their teammates and coaches.
• Are loyal to their team, teammates, and coaches.
• Understand that good players show up for big games…but great players show up for every game.
• Exhibit leadership qualities.
