Fusion welcomes Jenny Bye & Rachel Ormseth for 2009 season

The 16U Fusion are excited to announce the addition of two players for the 2009 summer season, Jenny Bye and Rachel Ormseth.

Jenny Bye joins the Fusion after several successful seasons for the Vermillion Stingers and Vermillion High School. This fall, Jenny was named to the All-Tournament team at the High School State Tournament for the third time! She hit .300 and drove in 13 runs in the fall season. As the Tanagers top pitcher she struck out 91 batters in 58 innings this fall. Great Job!

Rachel Ormseth also joins the Fusion Team and brings with her a strong arm and bat. Rachel caught for the Knights this fall and has a knack for throwing out runners on the base path. Along with a strong arm, Rachel has hidden power when it comes to hitting and we hope we can bring the best out in her. For the Knights this fall Rachel’s Batting Ave was .340 with 11 RBI’S, she had 53 plate appearances, 18 Hits, with only 3 strike outs, nice job!

The Fusions extends a big welcome to Jenny & Rachel, we look forward to a very strong season!
