The Only First-year 14U Team in the “Final Four"

While Fusion Orange had a disappointing end to the semi-final game in the Brandon Early Bird tournament held on May 17 and 18, the team had a lot to be pleased about over the weekend!

In the first game on Saturday, Orange took on Sioux Falls Flash. This game was a battle, with Orange eventually losing 3 – 2 to the team that ended up taking home the trophy.

Saturday’s second game had Orange coming out on top over Madison Motion (11-5), who went on to win the tournament’s “B” bracket.

The Sunday afternoon card started with Orange taking on Heat and emerging victorious (8-4) over this very good second year team that won the “A” consolation bracket.

The final game of the day was against the Brandon Valley Ice, another good second year team. The Orange lead the whole game until the last inning losing 10-8.

As the only first-year 14U team in the “final four,” we represented the Fusion organization well ~ beating both the consolation champion and “B” bracket champion. It looks to be a great start to what is going to be a great year
