South Dakota Fusion/Black pitcher Kayla Schroeder has been chosen to sing the National Anthem at opening ceremonies of the 2008 Ringneck Invitational July 4th in Sioux Falls.

Kayla has been in church and school choir since the fourth grade. Last year as a freshman at Sioux Falls Roosevelt High School, Kayla was a member of the "First Ladies", and performed in vocal contests as a solo, a duet, and as a sextet. Kayla was recently nominated to the Midwest Ambassadors of Music to participate and sing in a tour of Europe.

This coming school year, Kayla will be in the concert choir and the show choir at RHS. She is looking forward to a trip to New York City in February with the concert choir.

South Dakota Fusion is proud to have Kayla represent not only our team and club at this international softball tournament, but the city of Sioux Falls and the state of South Dakota as well.
