Hello and Welcome to the South Dakota Fusion Website
The South Dakota Fusion Girls ASA Travel Softball teams are highly competitive teams comprised of young ladies whose main goal for the 2010 season is to compete for the ASA National Championship. The Fusion has added two more teams this year to complete the organization. We added a 10u team and a younger 14u team; this gives the Fusion Organization a 10u, 12u, two 14u, and two 16u teams for the 2010 season. Our coaches, players, and most importantly our parents share a commitment to excellence. We couldn’t accomplish all that we have the past few years without the hard work of all our players and the exceptional support from a great group of parents.
Our system teaches each athlete how to deal with success and failure, and how to reach both long and short term goals. We believe and teach the girls that hard work, sportsmanship, and team play are the keys to being successful both in softball and in life. The Fusion program is designed to build top-notch players who are motivated to taking their game to a higher level. They will be competing in ASA, AFA, NAFA, and USSSA tournaments, and other competitive venues throughout the country.

Fusion Silver won the South Dakota ASA State Class "A" Girls Fastpitch Softball Tournament in the 14U division at Sherman Park July 16-18, 2010. Silver beat Rapid City Flames in the championship game 6-0. For the tournament they were undefeated and had great offensive and defensive performances, outscoring their opponents 46-3.Read More>>
Fusion Black Takes Ringneck Title
July 4, 2010 - Sioux Falls, SD
South Dakota Fusion Black was crowned champions of the 2010 ASA Ringneck International Invitational Softball Tournament 16u B bracket Sunday, July 4th at Sherman Park in Sioux Falls SD. Fusion went 4-0 in Sunday's single elimination bracket play to claim the title after a short stretch of bad luck in Saturday's pool play. Read more>>
Fusion Silver Continues to Do Well This Season, Placing 2nd in the 14U A Division of the 33rd Annual Ringneck Tournament
The 14U division was expanded from 32 to 40 teams this year. Fusion Silver fought their way thru the 40 team bracket to place 2nd overall. Fusion Silver went 2 and 1 in pool play on Saturday, earning the 2 seed in their pool and a birth in the “A” division. Fusion Silvers first game was at 8 am Saturday morning against the Mitchell Unleashed team. Silver won 17 to 2. They followed that up with a 7 to 0 win over the Nebraska Blue Diamonds in the 3:30 pm game. Fusion Silver finished up pool play with a loss against the MN Sting in a game that ended just after midnight Sunday morning. Read more>>
Fusion Silver 14U claimed the Competitive “A” Division championship on Tuesday evening, June 29. Their opponent was their “sister” team, Fusion '96. Two games had to be played as Fusion '96 gave Silver their first loss of the league tournament with a final score of 2-3. However, the “what if” game was a different story as Silver woke up their bats and finished the 5-inning game with a winning score of 10-0. Read more>>
South Dakota Fusion Orange Starts Season Off With Wins
Fusion Orange started their 16 and under division play by earning championship titles at the Mitchell Swing into Summer and Prior Lake (MN) Spring Tune-Up Tournaments.
South Dakota Fusion Orange Is Recipient of 2010 Twins Competitive Youth Baseball/Softball Grant
The Twins Community Fund announced their plan earlier this year to distribute approximately $1 million in funds to promote and improve youth baseball, softball, and education in the Upper Midwest, southwest Florida, and Latin America. The grant funds would be awarded through five grant/scholarship programs: Fields for Kids, Tournament Grants, Youth Baseball/Softball Camp Scholarships, Competitive Youth Baseball/Softball Team Grants, and Youth Coaching Grants.
